Policy Advocacy
MarViva works hand in hand with the governments and local communities to promote the creation and reform of legal frameworks to ensure the protection and adequate use of marine resources.
The Foundation also gets involved at a social level and takes part in inter-institutional meetings encouraged by the governments of the regions aimed at developing public policies for the management of marine protected areas and responsible management of fisheries.
MarViva trains and advises public officials on the scope of action of legal framework and the drafting and follow-up of complaints on illicit actions.
