WHAT
MOTIVATES US
In 2002, a group of philanthropists made an exploratory trip through Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica, and proposed a model for the responsible management and use of resources based, initially, on the support of control activities.
MarViva, created in 2002, contributes to spatial and marine management, the promotion of responsible market dynamics for marine products and services, and the strengthening of institutional and local capacities to optimize the sustainable management of the sea.
OUR
PHILOSOPHY
MARVIVA TEAM
MARVIVA
TRANSPARENCY
Transparency in the MarViva Foundation is fundamental to open to society and share information about its funding sources, its project monitoring systems and its fund control mechanisms. At MarViva, we apply the “four eyes” principle, a method that consists of the segregation of functions, the application of cross-checks and dual control of assets, among other measures, to avoid irregularities, particularly in the processes of purchasing goods, services and consultancies.
