@fundacionmarviva y @ccimbio quieren anunciar y celebrar que, después de siete meses de dedicación y esfuerzo, finalmente hemos logrado el etiquetado  de dos ejemplares machos de tiburón martillo (Sphyrna lewini), cada uno de los cuales superó los dos metros de longitud. Esto se suma al logro de @twinoceansresearchfoundation, quien junto al equipo de @sharkdefenderspanama, han logrado marcar un ejemplar hembra de la misma especie.

Las señales que emitirán estas marcas satelitales representan una ventana abierta al conocimiento biológico y poblacional de la especie, permitiéndonos comprender mejor su comportamiento y ruta migratoria, con la esperanza de que todo ello contribuya a garantizar su protección.

@fundacionmarviva and @ccimbio are pleased to announce and celebrate that, after seven months of dedication and effort, we have finally managed to tag two male hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini), each measuring over two meters in length. This achievement is in addition to that of @twinoceansresearchfoundation, who, together with the team at @sharkdefenderspanama, have managed to tag a female specimen of the same species.

The signals emitted by these satellite tags provide an open window into the biological and population knowledge of the species, allowing us to better understand its behavior and migratory route, with the hope that this will contribute to ensuring its protection.
